Election 2004 Climax

As we move toward Election Day, it will be a relief to get it behind us. Conservatives have worked hard for the President and other key candidates. Some things have gone right and some wrong and TCR will review the results and reasons after the election.

The outlook is for close races and your vote is critical. Electing conservatives will make a positive difference, and electing liberals will be a major negative.

2004 Election - Key Race Recommendations

With early voting ending and Election Day coming up soon, TCR now releases its key race recommendations in Texas.

This is a very important election in Texas. Conservatives have the opportunity to consolidate legislative gains and send six new conservatives to Congress where they are sorely needed, given the reign of the runaway spenders in both parties. The recommendations are for races where your vote could be the difference.

Congress

District 2 Ted Poe - (Houston-Beaumont) - An innovative conservative leader to replace a tax and spend left-winger.
District 1 Louis Gohmert - (East Texas) - Former outstanding District Judge who is a tough economic conservative.
District 17 Arlene Wohlgemuth - (Central Texas) - Great conservative in a tight race vs. a Democrat who is different in D.C. and Texas. (That's a surprise)
District 19 Randy Neugebauer - (Lubbock area) - Incumbent GOP Congressman paired with a Democrat congressman.
District 32 Pete Sessions - (Dallas Area) - Incumbent in the clash of titans with Martin Frost.

Texas House

Talmadge Heflin Dist. 149 Houston
Ann Witt Dist. 137 Houston
Todd Baxter Dist. 48 Austin
Charles "Doc" Anderson Dist. 56 Waco
Ray Allen Dist. 106 Grand Prairie

City of Houston Propositions
For Prop 2 - Against Prop 1

In its bid to confuse voters - City Hall put up Prop One - Proposition Two, which TCR supports, is the one that controls spending by controlling revenue, it's simple and it has worked in Colorado.
